Lazy Winter Run 2007

Two club members, Dick Bushell and Bert Weingott attended the Coffs Harbour run organised by the Mid North Coast Hot Rod Club and the run lived up to its name with 57 entrants enjoying a laid-back, easy going and relaxing three days.

Friday saw rodders arriving and setting up tents and vans or settling into on-site cabins at the Park Beach Caravan Park. A short cruise to the Fishing Club scheduled for the late afternoon was cancelled due to heavy rain, but the rest of the Friday night's entertainment was not dampened by the rain, with the complementary welcome BBQ & drinks for all who entered and the ladies cocktail party, which just blended into a memorable bench session in the hall at the Park.

Saturday commenced with a show n shine at home base till noon and than a short observation run to the Big Banana for lunch and the Toboggan Challenge. Then it was back to the park for a little socialising and 'lazing' around until 7pm when everyone enjoyed a sit-down meal and live entertainment down at the Hoey Moey.

Sunday started early with a complementary brekkie, then presentations and an auction, then it was farewells to close a top run for all those who attended.

TO THE ORGANISING CLUB - MID NORTH COAST HOT ROD CLUB
WELL DONE.
